Representative John "King" Otto Inherits Challenger

Texas State Representative John C. Otto was first elected to represent HD-18 Liberty/Montgomery Counties in 2005.  His office is located in Dayton, Texas.

He currently sits on the Appropriations and Ways and Means Committees and has held previous posts on the Redistricting and Appropriations Subcommittee on Education.

John Otto has been very controversial in his attachments and promotion of tax creating entities on the backs of Liberty County residents. Back in 2006, Otto and now Liberty County Attorney, Wes Hinch were trying to slip a water district in on Liberty County residents. Fortunately, through the efforts of Republican Activist, Ray Akins and Gunny Jorgensen- John Otto and Wes Hinch's boondoggle was soundly defeated.  Pressure from John Otto, Wes Hinch and their million dollar interest used their political persuasion and pressure to exact revenge upon Republican Activist, Ray Akins for their humiliating water district tax (profit) loss.  The political pressure from former Republican Chairman, Lester Wisegerber, Otto and Hinch to hit Akins was manifested through alleged corrupt Liberty County DA, Michael R. Little in the form of trumped up criminal charges.

Now through newly passed redistricting, Otto has inherited a very conservative TEA Party member as a Challenger to his office. The challenger is Ms. Lois W. Kolhorst- her website is located at http://www.loisfortexas.com/

Kolhorst says: "You have a right to be cynical about our government.  But if you are truly fed up, then you also have an obligation to join me in being part of the solution."

This race between John Otto and a very distinguished, well established Conservative Republican and TEA Party member should make for a very interesting political race.

Two incumbents running against each other ...this ought to be interesting. She is highly thought of in conservative circles.

Lois Kolhorst helped to create the following:

* To help Texans see how their dollars are spent, Lois co-wrote a new concept that became law in 2007(HB 3430) to open the books on state spending, requiring that state expenditures at every state agency be posted online for the public.

Today, any Texan can research state spending by logging on to

www.Window on State Government

info retreived from her website.

Conservative is fine.
Tea Party is completely ridiculous, and no one claiming affiliation with such an extremist group would ever have my vote.

You are ridicules and part of the status quo. You are no real conservative. The TEA Party is the future of this country and end to the corrupt 'entitlement' elitist Conservatives like you. We the TEA Party are the grass roots people of the USA.
