Texas Tort Claims Act:
In 1969 Texas legislature adopted the Texas Tort Claims Act, waving sovereign immunity for governmental entities under certain circumstances. The relevant portion of the Act (Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code § 101.021) states that governmental units can be held liable for:
(1) property damage, personal injury, and death proximately caused by the wrongful act or omission or the negligence of an employee acting within his scope of employment if:
(A) the property damage, personal injury, or death arises from the operation or use of a motor-driven vehicle or motor-driven equipment; and
(B) the employee would be personally liable to the claimant according to Texas law; and
(2) personal injury and death so caused by a condition or use of tangible personal or real property if the governmental unit would, were it a private person, be liable to the claimant according to Texas law.

It won't bring him back but it may give us all a fresh perspective of some of those who made sure they had a good seat for his funeral.
I believe Odell learned something about the Fairchilds that made them setup his "accident".

Yes, her Chronic Proof Reading Dysfunction is the 'pride' of the Hardin ISD language arts dept. It certainly makes the rest of us wonder who's "minding the store," with respect to the literacy requirements, for high school grads!

BTW: did anybody notice the area's record setting drought- dryest April on record? Sure hope it lasts a long time where she lives... (and a few other locales, such as Cleveland ISD, which condones/harbors serial child abusers)!!! Doesn't the superintendent's father need 'a little' precip? Well, he ain't gittin' it, until he has a stern meeting with his corrupt son!!! Ditto for the school board members- who kept every administrator doing it. Ditto, for a certain horse shoe installer, at the diners. Ditto, for a couple of corrupt churches' members in Cleveland. Ditto, for the chamber members, saddling us with all of their monthly bills.

I hope they are suing Ford too as it is likeley that a malfunction in the patrol car's design could have caused his accident.
Odell seemed to be a very good man. I hope his family is taken care of with this suit.
Six months ago today, they took his life. May they rot in hell!

I noticed the rain today. Word is that it was to relieve the wild life. Apparently, the snakes and rats (being of a higher character, as well) are of more importance on high, than the local sleaze and democrap elements. There's other ways to smoke them. Brimstone, anyone?
