(04/01/2009 Liberty, County) Sources close to Liberty Dispatch have stated that Liberty County Judge Phil Fitzgerald and his brother-in-law may be complicit in FEMA fraud.
Sources and our investigation indicate that as much as one million dollars may have been illegally diverted to companies (ie Hard Rock) owned or created by Fitzgerald and/or his brother-in-law without a legally due bid processes.
The alleged activity by Judge Fitzgerald is still said to be in full blatant disregard of the law.
This story was posted at the risk of retaliation by Fitzgerald and his associates in the courthouse.
Liberty County, Texas should be a place where our elected officials are not above the law or accountability.
