Dear LD

I did my part. All of the horrific business practices coming out of that courthouse can be traced back to the commissioners and the county judge. My votes have been votes to change who is making those decisions.

I agree, if we have any choice at all we should get someone better at handling both the legal and business part of the County and District Attorney’s office. But when we voted out our own neighbors out here in Hardin that should have sent a clear message to these damn lawyers. We are sick of the way you manage OUR business! We like Phil but we sent him to the house. Lee has gotten us more than any area in the county, but we sent him to the house. What makes these two men think we are going to put up with them treating their offices like their own private piggy bank? I can’t figure.

I can’t figure why the Dayton area didn’t kick Norman Brown out on his butt, but I guess they figured he may straighten up as a Republican or they figured his Democratic opponent would be just as bad. Whatever... Liberty has the worst commissioner in the county and if they don’t get rid of Todd Fontenot and if Cleveland doesn’t get rid of Melvin Hunt, it will be hard to stop the way we have wasted and misallocated taxpayer money in Liberty County.

Whatever happens, Hardin voters have done our part. We will be watching and hoping for Craig McNair to lead. He should yell from the water tower when Todd and Melvin pull some of the stuff they always pull.

Wes Hinch says on the County Attorney's website: "The County Attorney's Office is comprised of three attorneys and seven support staff. The County Attorney's office not only prosecutes Class "A" and "B" misdemeanors, it also handles juvenile prosecution as well as representing the State in Justice Court cases."
an you please tell me the name of the ten people Hinch is referring to. Then I will ask my other questions.

There is still no "proven" Republican in the commissioners court, but I am betting McNair will change that. We have seen leadership in the wrong direction for years, now Judge McNair with the voters help can help Liberty County begin to be a successful county. But we have to vote thepeople that have been sinking our ship out and get the Judge some help.
