Hello, my name is Paul Kelly.
My wife and I have been living in Liberty County for the past 11 years, we have 3 children. I am very concerned for our County and the negative images portrayed by local and national media groups due to issues at the Court House which have been going on for years. Our elected officials at the County Court House should uphold the highest integrity, moral character, honesty and remember who they where elected by and for, and to uphold The Constitution of the United States of America. Liberty County elected officials must be about protecting its citizens and bring in Industries, retail establishments, Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!,,, For far too long Liberty County has had and still has one of the highest unemployment rates in the State and Nation currently at 11.2%---this is unacceptable, and it is time to clean house. These are just a few reasons why I am running for the office of Liberty County Commissioner Pct 4 in the March primary election as a Conservative Republican. If you too are a concerned citizen and you are sick and tired of the direction and corruption of our court system, please consider helping my campaign with funds and/or helping spread the word to Vote for Paul Kelly County Commissioner Pct 4 on March 2, 2010. Make sure you are registered to vote! AND VOTE!!!
Thank You and God Bless!

Neither Mr. Brown or Mr. Kelly are polished speakers and both can seem a little out there, but Mr. Kelly has a proven track record of excellent management of a growing business. He is good at managing people and making money. It is time for new leadership and I am seriously considering voting for him.
Kelly's opponent was retirement age years ago when he first ran for office. I have nothing against the Commissioner but Kelly is a suitable replacement. these are not meant to be lifetime jobs.
My first impression of Norman Brown years ago was horrible, but he is not our worst commissioner on the court. My first impression of Paul Kelly is that he is not a politician BUUUUTTT if you get in a conversation with him about actually getting specific things done around our precinct, he already has alot on the ball. Talk to him about spefic needs of the county, not politics, and you will vote for him over Brown.
Mr. Kelly, I do not know you but you are too much a gentlemen in your announcement to point out that Norman Brown promised some of us voters last time that he would not seek another term if we would just give him four more years. I voted for him on that basis. Now I will vote for you and let him return to his family, his children and his grandkids. Everyone deserves a break even if they tend not to want one. Good luck to you.
Mr. Kelly, if you are elected, along with some more new faces setting in Commissioners Court, then maybe we can get an ethics policy passed.
I am sure if Commissioner Brown is elected we will continue with the same type of work that is being done on our roads and in our courthouse. I have no idea why a man would take more than a fifty percent pay cut and run for this job but I have to belive Mr. Kelly you have come to serve and I hope you get a chance to make the changes we so badly need around here.
Paul Kelly needs to be told to focus his camapign rhetoric and preparation on what needs to be done SPECIFICALLY to our roads and ditches and to the county budget. It would take some work to be conversant about the specifics but most of us know and agree with the general concept that Brown is part of the problem and has done nothing concrete to stop corruption in the courthouse. We know Brown after 7 years of doing nothing thinks he can just tell us voters he wants an ethics code and that insulates him against his lack of doing anything. We get that, We know a new person could do no worse and probably would be appalled by the good ole boy atmosphere that alloas all of this. But some are worried that the roads and ditches may get even worse if we make changes. I am not worried because I know Brown's background and know he learned to talk about roads when he knew nothing about them. He is a hot air expert.
I have heard through the grapevine that some of Mr. Kelly's campaign signs were removed after people who were displaying them were threatened with lost business and personal slander. This sounds like a certain Liberty County official is starting to run scared and pulling out all the stops. This is exactly thie kind of thing that Mr. Kelly is running against. He has my vote!
