Hey, you guys put Wes Hinch in both parties for DA, whats the deal?
Wes Hinch being in both party columns was no accident. He is Mike Little's mini me.
How old is Logan Picket, 15?
Is Regis Fontenot a serial adulterer?
I vote for Julie Cain...
I vote for Jamie Carter,,
Wes "Water District" Hinch
Isn't Merendino the lawyer Democrat former Judge Rusty Hight and DA Mike Little pushed into running as a Republican last election? Are they trying to sneak people in on both sides of the ballot again?
The Republican party is looking more competitive than ever here. The best way for that to remain true is for it to stand for something and to keep long time dokeys out or beat them bad when they try and switch.
I notice Mike Little's name is on the list to run. If he is not running, he should let the good people of Liberty County know now so we can have choices.
108 days and we can change this county. We can start over with the good ole boys on the outside looking in.
We have choices whether or not Mike Little lets the people of Liberty County know if he's running or not! Have you not been paying attention???
It is just scary thinking that Gary Dennison would throw his hat in to the ring. He is an incompetent lawyer so he would be even worse as the DA
Rick McQuire would be an excellent choice for DA but I doubt he would want the headache or the paycut. It would be a considerable upgrade if he ran though.
Zack Zbranek? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha! Please stop it. That is too much.
Would this be John Archer's second term? Didn't he get in Mike Little's body and prosecute Janet Harrelson, and ONLY Janet Harrelson. Boy, would the politics flow with him actually in that position or what!
If the Blue case ever comes to the attention of our blind, deaf, and dumb local media, we can all decide whether Mike Little is electable.
Jay Arnold? Julie Halstead? Rick McQuire? I consider voting for any of these three but I do not think their practices are set up for them to veer into public service. If any of these three run, I would bet Little will not.
One theory is that if Little does not run it will be because he has talked Wes Hinch into running and that will be his best bet at covering his butt on the way out. Hinch will have a tough time being elected or re-elected. He is becoming well known for loving hearing his own voice and for being a fence riding, cover his own tail, lazy do nothing.
John CHRISTIAN Archer and his wife, Nancy "Habitat for Humanity" Archer will be lucky to hold on to the Democrat chair position after years of doing things that has ultimately ended in disaster for the donkey party. The idea of him winning an elective office on a ballot that allows people to vote that would not vote for a yellow dog is way out there.
Bruce Mintz became a lawyer when he was past middle age.Archer is too old. Little is too damaged. Zack is not well liked. Regisand gary are not good enough lawyers. Beausoliel has the incident where his wife stole mail hanging over his head. Logan Pickett is Democrats best bet, but Picketts are not well liked among Republican activists and you can bet a vigorous effort will be made to keep him from winning any office.
What no comment about Barbara Norwood or Bruce Stratton? Barbara would be a good D.A. But she would never ever in a million years run for any public office. Stratton running would bring all of his hospital manipulating come into question. He will not run.
McNair, Farmer, Carter? I mean some of the people on your list of Republicans have close to zero name ID up here in Cleveland. The Hinch man has name ID via his involvement in the ground water scam and how mad some of the local Republicans are at him for his weaseling out of the Fitzgerald case and his alliance with Mike Little. But that kind of name ID ain't good.
I hope we do have a healthy list of potential candidates. With the so many things coming out about the incumbent on top of the rumor he is physically sick, it should give someone a great opening to become the #1 prosecutor in the county.
Wes Hinch in both lists - hahhahahhahahahhahahahahhahahhahaha!!
I am a huge fan of James Evans. He takes alot of tough cases and he is not worried about the politics of Liberty County. he believes everyone deserves their day in court and everyone deserves to have their case heard by a fair judge and a fair jury. Though there are sevearl really good attorneys on the lists, none are as courageous as Evand. A district attorney needs to have alot of courage.
I met James Farmer at a meeting a few weeks ago and he is really really sharp. But is he even talking about running for D.A.?
Farmer has not announced any plans of running for office.
I have never liked the idea of having one family dominate the courthouse.
Can Little run for an office if he is in jail? With this Blue case and then the Joe Warren case,it makes one wonder what the results will be.
Someone needs to look into the delinquent tax collections over the last few years and follow the money. The new DA needs to be less politicalthan the current one or none of this type thing will be doneand taxpayer money will continue to end up in strange places.
You left Joe Warren's name off your list!!!
Oh my...sure hope this isn't an accurate list. And, Jerry Andress..No disrespect intended, but he is afraid of the Judges. We need a leader and he, as well as many others on this list, just aren't making the cut in that regard.
If any one of these persons, with possibly the exception of James Evans, were to become our new District Attorney, I see little hope for progress and/or change.
Just a new name..with a new scheme, maybe with the hope of hiding their corruption a "little" better. Sorry, but when I read these names, and happen to know personally the character of some of these individuals...it makes me a little nauseous.
Stratton, Mcguire,etc.. just, "the usual suspects," in my opinion. No change with these local guys.." lil puppy dogs" with the dream of becoming " THE BIG DOG"..in control, in power..not for the benefit of the people of Liberty, but for the benefit of themselves and their ego.
Now, let me say, Mr.James Evans shows some potential here. I know nothing of him, however, except what I have read about him on this site. This information alone though, tells me that the man is a man of good moral character with courage to stand up for the best interest of the citizens of Liberty County, in regards to the Joe Warren fiasco. At least that's a start...
So, I'd say research his past in regards to education, cases, ethics, etc. And, we might just find that we have someone who is worth supporting in this race or election...or whatever it is called.
REPLACEMENT..that works!
I forgot about old Joe. They did leave him off the list. He would be the Democrats choice for the DA job. What a crock of you no what. Just think,if Joe got the DA job then he could prosecte Little in the Michael Blue case. BAHAHAHA.
NEWSFLASH: Fitz and Groce are trying to exclude evidence from their trials. I say, whatever happened to: ""the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth""? see the duhhChess of Dumbass' version of the itty bitty semblance of the truth:

Three guesses which way duhhNesa's advocating (you can use "banana" twice)!
I hear that their trial is coming up at Federal Court in Beaumont sometime in August or September. Does anyone know the actual date? I woul like to attend and hear this trial. I also hear you have to wear a coat and tie in Federal Court. Is this true?
yes, you must wear a coat in tie in fed court even as a spectator. you must have id to get in the door and they will have you lock up your cell phone with the court security officers.
Thanks for the info. I had been to Fed court years ago and was wondering how much had changed since then.
If you want " the good ole boys looking in from the outside" by voting them out, you need to say bye bye to Merendino!! Yes, she is the lawyer who was former dem and pushed to run by Hight!! No doubt part of the good ole boy network!!!
