Liberty County Sheriff's Department Big Bust, Large Criminal Operation Closed Down

In the late evening hours of yesterday, July 27, 2011, Deputies from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, operating on a crime stopper tip which was received via the Department’s Web Site went to a location on County Road 389 near the Pebble Creek area of Liberty County.

Upon arrival, Deputies located numerous firearms, including, but not limited to shotguns, semi-automatic shotguns, rifles, handguns and even a L.A.W. (laws) rocket launcher. Also located at this crime scene was an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, narcotics paraphernalia, undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and a “growing operation” for marijuana.

Sheriff’s Deputies have remained on the scene all night preserving this large scale crime scene. Sheriff’s Office Investigators have returned to the location this morning to continue the processing of evidence and recovery of numerous stolen items, including, but not limited to , four wheelers, motor vehicle parts and other mechanical devices.

At this time those arrested in the course of this incident are not being released pending further additional arrests directly related to this Investigation. Should the booking photos be authorized for release later today by Investigators, those will also be forwarded.

Please note, this is a large scale operation, whereby the investigative process will be labor intensive and time consuming. Due to the high temperatures expected today, Sheriff’s Office personnel will be working in rotating shifts, processing the crime scene.

It should also be noted, the original tip, which came through our Web Site, was handed to a new specialized unit here at the LCSO. This unit, comprised of 5 Deputies, including a K-9 unit, work together by responding to reported high crime locations and follow up on crime stopper tips as they are received. This unit has been specifically designed as a “pro-active” unit and lieu of being a “re-active” response to Law Enforcement. This unit was authorized by Sheriff Patterson and has been in operation for the last month. These dedicated professionals, in a very short time, have already made a tremendous impact in Liberty County. Their efforts have netted numerous major arrests (including the capture of several wanted fugitives), recovered numerous stolen firearms, illegal firearms, large amounts of methamphetamine, methamphetamine related apparatus and products, cocaine, marijuana and approximately $25,000.00 in U.S. currency, which is being processed for asset forfeiture through the Judicial System.

Sheriff Patterson has become the best person I have ever voted for. He has guided the Sheriff’s Office into the 21st Century starting with his new Web Page, special crimes unit, right done to his new Public Relations Officer among others. Mr. Patterson you are a credit to Liberty County and the State of Texas for doing the right thing! You and your Deputies, including their support staff are in our prayers every day…and you Sir have our family votes and support in the next election. May God bless and protect all of you who work to protect all of us in Liberty County!

the infamous DuhhhhhhhhChess of Dumbass strikes again:

""The closest area that could be impacted under the current """projects""" is Brazoria County, which along with Matagorda and Jackson counties, were the subject of the warning Thursday morning.""

Don't let Mike Little or Royce Wheeler get a hold of that seized money, you will never see it again.

If Mike Little gets a hold of that seized money, it will end up as "laundered" prizes for bidgehaven payoffs.

chicken feed, that $10,000!!!
now, who REALLY wants to be a millionaire??? (I'll give this one away.)

It seems that men's suits have been available in summer, fall, and winter models for decades. They can be blends, light weight materials, or heavy wool- for the various seasons, climates and locales.

School marching band uniforms? Not so. They come in one type, and one type ONLY: Heavy wool sweat boxes. It's been that way for decades. Yes, they're pure hell, on 100 degree parking lots for summer marching band practice. Is there any relief in sight? Read on!

Maybe, in this climate of unemployment, job shortages, and job searchers' despair... just MAYBE.... some enterprising soul, without the ability to do their own thinking, but gleaning that from LD.... could actually create the light weight line of band uniforms, in any school color, and several youth sizes. The 2000 high schools in Texas would be PLEASED to junk the wools ones, in favor of long awaited fashion INTELLIGENCE. So would any other high school in the south or southwest, including colleges. You do the math. I underestimated the value of the idea.

Of course, that entrepreneur could continue the age old joke, that ""they all fit perfectly (if you weigh 400 pounds, and are shaped like a pear"")!! lol

Just a suspicion, but I think that the dressmaker's dummy for those uniforms is either duhhhNesa..., or she lives here, eats at Plantation and D & M diners, and drives a bus for Cleveland ISD!

What you want to bet, that there ain't a chamber of commerce in sight, that can say anything but: HUH???? (must be cousins of the duhhhChess of Dumbass)!

Now, who knows where to find a Cloth World store, and knows how to sew???

Didn't THINK so!

Iodine out says, he hasn't heard of any of these busts that Liberty County Sheriffs office has made. I wonder where old Allen has been. These stories are all over the local TV news stations. I wonder if this is another one of Allen's coverup stories to try and discredit our Sherrif and his new Team' Allen go on back to sleep. No one is listening to your lies anymore.

sheriff's info captain Rex Evans says they got 4 arrests (and more to come) on the CR 389 bust, and 7 collars on the HWY 59 motel/tire shop/meth lab. So far, so good.

they are very busy bashing Mr Evans and Patterson ... all i can say i have never seen the bs so deep as it is here Liberty County .. I knew it was deep in '07 when i saw first hand just how effective the then sheriff and his then captain was!!! I said it then to the other online reporter and I will say it now... a sheriff promises to do his job and protect the citizens it is not a 8-5 m-f job God Bless those serving us now!!!!

Royce Wheeler needs that money. He is so busy sticking his nose in other office holders business that he cant take care of his own. That money could help out with his fishing trips.

fishing? Where? In what drought stricken mud hole? (""if 9 months didn't get their attention, let's go for a 30 month drought""!)

Oh, he's catching 'mud cats'! rofl
