Local State Rep. John Otto Makes Texas History

Even though he claims to be a Republican (Sic. RINO) local State Representative John Otto seems to always be on the wrong side of Republican issues. Recently Otto was involved in a tax and spend scheme that would have cut school spending in the State of Texas by Millions and destroyed our Texas State Rainy Day Fund.

Now representative Otto is involved with a scheme to tax all internet sales in the State of Texas. Otto is well known for his support and work to increase the tax burden on Liberty County residents. Otto has made several attempts at increasing the taxes of the people in Liberty County only to be beat back by local conservative activist.

Otto has made his mark with the historical “amazon tax” when he and the state comptroller recently sent amazon.com a tax bill for Texas based sale in the amount of $260 million dollars.

There seems to be no end to the financial damage Otto wants to now heap on Liberty County and now the State of Texas. The new internet tax bill which has been authored and designed by Otto is set to go into effect September 2011.

Otto was involved in the takeover attempt involving our groundwater three years ago. He and his buddies tried to convince us we were all doomed and the water right underneath our property would be taken if we didn't vote for his scheme. The sky hasn't fallen and the scam has never been proposed again.

TAXES are taxes Mr.Otto. The money you tax the internet sales will be money you tax us! I thought you congressmen were going to get a handle on spending?

Here is the scoop: Representative Otto is vulnerable IF he decides to run for re-election. His district lines have changed to include another incumbent representative. Otto has a handful of close friends but pretty much blows off the rest of us. His staff in his hometown (Dayton I think) are set up to keep people away from him. He does not deal with the voters much. He will give a speech, but he will not talk to voters.

Someofmy best friends are teachers, but Otto knows he is pandering to them. he knows there was nothing he could do to stop the education cuts. he is no more or less a pro teacher representative than most people in Austin.

Otto may be needed to persuade the Governor to remove Joe Warren from office while he answers charges of terroristic threats and trying to shut up a witness. Mike Little is sticking with the story that because his office TWICE refused to take charges cfrom the Sheriff's office that he was ignorant that one of the people charged was Joe Warren.

Now let me get this straight, if an elected official points a gun at his neighbor and if they threaten them and if they imply because of their position you better not "f***" with them, they shouldnot be put on leave or fired because that did not happen in the performance of their duties.

Here they go again. Our local media is trying to convince the public that Joe warren is the victim. the way they tell the story he is. The Outsiders need to clue them in on the details that have conveniently been left out.

All Otto needs to be concerned about is closing the border! The open border is by far the greatest threat to Texas and the Nation. Unemployment, school funding, crime, drugs, all are a part of having the border open. Next election let Otto go home and practice twirling. And a note to Bill B. The drug cartels are in Harris County now. Still love your hard working Mexican Nationals, Bill?
