Liberty County has come so far in the last few years. In the past we had representatives like Zbranek who basically went to Austin as our set of ears. He wasuseless with his mouth and mind. Now we actually have a representative that is admoired enough in Austin that he is rumored to be a statewide candidate in the future. In reviews by locals Otto scores higher in every category except constituency service. "Constituency service" is usually a bi-product of an experienced and effective staff, not good representation on the state house floor. Otto's comprehensive knowledge of taxes and rea; estate are impressive. Keep up the good work!
Thelittle snipers who try to politically assassinate conservatives never mess with John Otto. They lie and distort the county judge's and district judges' records but they leave big bad John alone. Perhaps they leave himalone because they know we all remember the Zbranek and Little and Kirkham years and they are embarrased by the brainlessness of those times. It was shear loyalty to the Democrat party that drove these hall of fame yellow dogs. They all boarded their political lives with Ted Kennedy and other donkeys and they all abandoned the ship by either losing or retiring as Democrats - mindless, follow the good ole boy Democrats.
Well said. Proud of Otto.......happy to be rid of Mike Little and each and every one of those damn Zbraneks.
John is shy and not a great campaigner but he does a heck of a job when it comes to legislation.
Mr. Otto there are many many Dan Patrick supporters around here. Please keep your eye on the ball. What is described by liberals as extreme is the same values our parents raised us with.
I for one like the Zbraneks, under Rusty Hight and Mike Little, they have done some memorable legal work in Liberty County.
What about Dwayne Stovall? Isnt he worth consideribg? We need some new blood in office, not more of the same good ole boy network.
Dwayne Stovall is a fruit cake.
Seriously???
I heard Zeb was going to run for state rep.
hear hear
I heard Jimmy Sterling was going to run.
I certainly wouldn't want a return to the days of Zbraneks, Hight, Tookie, Groce, Hunt, Little, or FEMA Phil. That said, I'm still a firm believer in term limits, and against allowing the genre of career politicians. This leaves quite a quandary in the case of Otto. If we vote against him, who can we replace him with?
We've had much worse - seriously!!!! Matter of fact, any of the others that were better have been long in the grave. Let's keep the ones that don't hurt us since they have the potential to still help us. He's proven.
