Commissioners to testify before federal grand jury
Tomorrow, Liberty County Commissioners are set to testify before a federal grand jury in Beaumont, Texas. The believed basic questioning of the commissioners will surround hurricane Ike FEMA fraud questions. Additionally, it is believed there is a widening federal probe concerning the corruption in Liberty County which could also be explored by the grand jury. The Liberty County Commissioners involved in the investigation are- Norman Brown, Melvin Hunt and Lee Groce.

A big thank you to all the feds, FBI and other feds investigating all the official corruption (dirty LEO, judges, prosecutors, commissioners, murders, doc fraud etc.) and other crimes in Liberty County. Thank you too to the federal prosecutors in Harris County and Beaumont.

It will get better this week with our next story in Taking Liberty Part 2... When we see what Commissioner Melvin Hunt, Constable Royce L. Wheeler and County Clerk Delia Seller's have been up to! I’m willing to bet that Sellers is wondering why Constable Wheeler has brought this train wreck to her office…
They should all be convicted of conspiracy to drive Liberty County into bankruptcy. Politics aside, all need to be retired.
When Melvin gets back from Beaumont maybe he will still have time to finish doing this week's favors for his Democraic buds.
Poor taxpayers, money is still flying as we try and get a handle on this band of brothers's behavior during the storm.
During the storm? Have you gotten on the internet and looked at the proposed budget for next years? These people are fll time ripping the taxpayer, not just during storms.
So how innocent is an eyewitness that is suppose to be looking out for us? It seems to me the best any of these guys could claim is that it was going on all around them but they never noticed it. A commissioners court is set up to have checks and balances. These men should all resign.
To my way of thinking about these Commissioners that voted to pay the bills after the hurricane, if they were not against it, then they were for it and a part of the problem. Get rid of all of them.
Message from Melvin Hunt to T.Chambers on facebook. Exact quote.. Remember " Politicians are like strippers, they need exposure"...and he signed his name. That is just low class in my opinion. Jay H. Knight replies with a " way to go dude type of comment." I don't know either of them, but what a slimy thing to write. It amazes me the arrogance and hypocrisy of some! If I were Tommy...I think I'd erase that from my page. Good day all.
The reason the other commissioners went along with it is because they are so scared of Lee Groce. Melvin and Normand quiver at just the thought of upseting lee. Who knows why they are scared to stand up to him?
I wonder what ole Melvi and Norman told them about their good buudy Paul Brockner? I htink they're busted. Now Melvin what about them P's and Q's. Ole Vanessa can't even bail you out of this one.
