Election year antics...

The Cleveland Advocate:

"The Liberty County Commissioners Court declared an emergency on July 27 in order to use $265,000 from the fund balance to pay for road repairs and maintenance in Precinct 4.

The emergency was declared due to the condition of the roads and for the safety of school children who ride buses that must travel down the roads, according to Precinct 4 Commissioner Norman Brown.

He said that the roads have to be repaired or shut down soon for safety reasons.

“These roads must be salvaged due to rapid deterioration caused by excess rainfall and heavy trucks,” said Brown in a written statement."

Almost 80 year old Precinct 4 Commissioner, Norman Brown left his rocking chair to answer voluminous complaints about the deteriorated roads in Dayton and surrounding areas. Since Brown has become commissioner, the roads in West Liberty County have deteriorated to an outrageously unsafe level. The worst thing about about road repairs in West Liberty County is... they are repaired by former Stump Grinder, William Randall Bivins. The roads he overlays fall apart almost as fast as he puts them down.

Norman Brown's nickname is "Pothole Brown". As a candidate for reelection in November, Brown is busy fixing roads, the same roads which will deteriorate again after the election.

This, the same ole Brown who signed off (with taxpayer money) on Hurricane Ike debris removal overcharges in Dayton and Kenefick- quid pro quo?

Same ole, same ole Brown.

Come on Zbranek, rear your ugly head so it can be handed to you too...

If Brown would have done the job he was elected to do, there would be no emergency!

Brown is older than some of these roads he is putting road makeup material on. All he is doing is putting a thin cover coat on the roads to make them look good. Is this the kind of roads and Commissioner we need for the next four years? (IF he lives long enough to serve out his term.)

happens every election cycle. they grade all the rural roads to garner votes

It may be much better to be known as "Pothole Brown" than to have folks call you a@@hole Brown. Anyway a "thin coat" at this time of the year may be way more comfortable than a thick coat, right? ;-)

Yes and then when the winter comes along and it is freezing, the only coat you have is the thin coat.

I agree with the nickname "Pothole Brown" that will be his legacy. I think the other name he will be remembered for is "turncoat" shows his selfish greed. I guess he takes us all for a bunch of dummies like him and his supporters.

Brown is a (Brown) stain on Liberty County.

Im not discounting Brown's roads, they are the worst in East Texas. I think the other problem here is Liberty County Sheriff, Henry Patterson. He has been a failure at slowing down the out of control grass trucks in East gate and West Liberty County. DPS and DOT have been failures too at slowing down those maniac grass truck drivers. The back roads in Eastgate are a drug runners and 18 wheelers dream.

I voted for Patterson, but I did it knowing he ran aa a Democrat the time before. If I had known he was going to bring Kelley aboard I would have known he still had Democrat tendencies. That guy is a yellow dog. Some would say that makes nodifference. But Democrats tend tolook at government jobs and taxpayer money like it is owed to them. They may look at confiscated guns and things in the evidence room the the same way.

I voted for Patterson because Arthur had so many problems. But I am comforted by the fact that Bobby Rader is seriously considering running for Sheriff. Rader DPS and JP background along with being such a wise and community-oriented person have mademefeel confident that in the future we can have one of the best Sheriff Department's in the country. I don't even care that he is a real live Republican. We tried reallive Democrats and we tried the party switchers like Patterson, why not vote for a proven individual and forget the labels.

article quotes 'the Advocate'?
Is that the editor, (the Moss Hill village idiot,) who has that incurable malady? The one without medical research dollars? C.P.R.D.? Chronic Proof-Reading Dysfunction? Isn't there a Hardin reunion this week, where the school's deficiencies and alumni dysfunctions could be ordered remedied? HaHaHaHaHa!

(What were those recent quotes: April, 2010:'driving without intoxication'; and July 16, 2010
accused of 'stealing three sets of tweezers, several sets of clippers, and a fishing lure'- the Walmart 'serial killer of fishing tackle!' BTW: that suspect is still at large! HaHaHa)

Is this the same editor, with FIVE, count them, feature articles on Tarkington schools, in this week's issue? see: clevelandadvocate.com lifestyles tab. Some fairness and impartialiaty, as an excuse for responsible journalism, right?

BTW: is anybody still subscribing to, or advertising in that piece of junk? (a total waste of perfectly good trees, as well!)

no, the July 16th police blotter listed the offense as 'killing' the various items. After due chastising and embarrasment, from throughout the community, the July 19th copy was amended to state 'stealing' the items.

The original rendition of the police blotter, from July 16th, is an amusement item on the Cleveland PD's squad room bulletin board- with an inscription stating: 'Johnson's first homicide'!

FYI: The April item was sent to Jay Leno's 'headlines', and is awaiting airing on the tonight show.

Both are persuasive arguments and evidence, to counter any potential defamation lawsuits that she isn't 'the Moss Hill village idiot'! (even Rusty Hight's court would be hard pressed to find in her favor.)

note: 'truth' is a complete defense to defamation claims.

If Bobby Rader runs for Sheriff of Liberty County, he has my vote.

Federal Grand Jury indicts Kelly....who's next -- cant wait to see!

Poor Dennis. Still angry that you have been banned from the Advocate's website?

Anonymous said...

who's 'poor dennis'?

now, where's the 'Moss Hill village idiot'? in proof reading dysfunction rehab? Has her useless 'blather in print' filed for bankruptcy yet? as if she can find a new subscriber or advertiser (other than an obituary... and she gets darned few of that trade too!)

well, not TOTALLY useless... my cat uses the free copies of Eastex Advocate... for a pooping grounds.... reeks, but scratches and rustles good! HA!

You'll notice that duhhNesa has to come over HERE, (to liberty dispatch,) to draw a crowd... can't seem to sell her own copy to anybody! so, she folds them into paper planes... and THROWS them farther that she can SELL them!
HaHaHaHaHa!

maybe the Advocate website's site hits, ad revenues, and circulation would recover... if they could get some real meat on their site again!
(not to mention: hire a REAL editor, without CPRD (chronic proof reading dysfunction!))

The Advocate hasn't produced an article with 100 comments... for MONTHS!! (nor an issue with 1000 actual READERS!) Can you spell 'impending extinction'???
HAHAHAHAHA

this wasn't an Advocate story... (they don't have the ability of original thought.) The story idea (and marching orders) came from duhhnesa's JOURNOLIST membership. (that scandalous mega-left wing media scumbags, of rev Wright/obama/ACORN notoriety.)

THAT's who calls all her shots. She's just a mindless drone/pawn in the larger schemes!

You can always tell which articles are hers and which are Journolists (Journolists are copied and pasted, thus have decent grammar, spelling, etc... HERS are the ones with chronic proof reading dysfunction!) Hi-oh, 'driving without intoxication' and 'killing' fishing tackle.... awayyyy!

HAHAHAHAHA

she also drops off HUNDREDS of copies, during the summer vacations and holidays... at SCHOOLS (who trash them)... so she can COUNT THEM as 'circulation'!

What a joke!
