Monday August 16th is Day 162 of liberal trial lawyer and Democratic nominee for Governor Bill White refusing to release his taxes from his years in public service.
While Bill White is spending millions of dollars attacking Governor Perry for things like renting too nice of a house to live in while the Governor’s mansion is being repaired after an arsonist torched it, he continues to refuse to release his taxes from 1993-1998. During those years he held public service positions that required him by law to complete annual personal financial disclosures. While Bill White was Deputy Secretary of Energy (1993-95) and Chairman of the Texas Democratic Party (1995-98), he was required by law to complete annual personal financial disclosures. White has also failed to make those disclosures public.
Liberty Dispatch invites any Democratic officeholder who would like to distance themselves from Bill White (or Barack Obama) to take the opportunity to write in now. After two years of witnessing the changes Obama and Democrats like Bill White have in store for this country, the last plausible reason to switch political parties besides pure opportunism is here. But any Democrat wanting to switch to the Republican Party for principled honorable reasons should do it now. Those waiting for the next election cycle will be seen as trying to be on the winning team rather than trying to do what they think is right.

I am not a fan of either Bill White or Gov. Perry. However, a wee bit of accuracy in your article here would be kinda nice. White was a 2-term mayor in Houston and did not serve as a lawyer in any courtroom for many years - same as Perry. Referring to White as a "trial lawyer" is as much correct as you calling yourself a little boy learning to use a pencil to write notes to post here. A bit of accuracy please!!!
If you live over here like my brother and his family, Bill White may have seemed like a pretty good mayor. But if you lived in Houston towards the last two years of his reign, you knew he was just a good politician, not a good problem solver.
White knew from day one of being Mayor for Houston he was running for Governor. So we saw one big spin machine. No way to govern. Some of the crap he passed like that red light camera thing and the tow away bullshi*, were big cash cows that just pulled in money for him to spend in neighborhoods he wanted votes from. They made tghings worse rathr than better.
WHITE IS A TYPICAL MILLIONAIRE DEMOCRAT TRYING TO PUT A BIKING HELMET ON AND GET HE WORKING MAN'S VOTE
That's right! Perry worked on the family's farm in Paint Creek Texas and was in the military. Bill White is all about image!
You can mak fun all you wan rich Republicans. Bill White gts on a bike and rides thru neighborhoods so he will know what is going on. He cares about the working man.
When you are an Ivy League Trial lawyer you probably do learn more than you know about "the working man" ater putting on a helmet and cycling through areas. I can hear White now as he discovers homeowner pushing a lawnmower: "I had no idea, elect me and we will FIND enough money so everyone rides".
I call him "the Great White Hope" because he is he onl one in Texas that might be able to help Obama.
What a crappy choice we have for governor, a liberal democrat and a do nothing republican. I wouldn't worry too much about Perry's living accomodations, there is plenty to attack him on over his lack of any attention to the border (until he sees what is going in Arizona and how popular that has become).
I vote against all incumbents no matter what. It is truly a hold your nose and vote contest.
I voted against Perry in the Primaries(against incumbent)but there is no way I'll vote for White. The #$%$#ing democrats have scared the hell out of me this time. I really don't like being a party guy but how can anybody with any common sense not see that they don't care about us or our country? They just want it all to be theirs and only theirs
Let us all not forget that Bill White gave the evacuation order for Houston during rita. Do you remember the panic it caused. Houston has never evacuated. I dont think he has what it takes to be governor of Texas. He would be a good fit for California or New York but not Texas.
