Candidate to run for Liberty County Court at Law Position

Liberty Dispatch has received information that Assistant County Attorney, Tommy Chambers (R) is running for Liberty County Court at Law position.

With Chambers running there is some hope that ethics and honesty may return to the Liberty County Courthouse.

It is yet to be seen whether the politically vulnerable position of Liberty County District Attorney, held by perceived corrupt Mike Little will be challenged. The 75th Judicial District Court position held by perceived vulnerable and corrupt sitting Judge, Carol Thomas Height is said to be unofficially challenged.

Liberty Dispatch wishes Mr. Tommy Chambers the best in his run for office.

Tommy will be elected and will do great. As for the corrupt people in the courthouse. The local legal community has seen an opportunity to take offices away from people who have used their official capacity for personal and political ends. The arrogance and audacity of the prosecutor and judge/s have sealed their fate to be replaced.

I like Tommy Chambers. I was surprised the first time he ran for office, but I am pleased to see he is running again. He is not a career politician and just like his previous race you won't see anything dirty coming from him in this race. Tommy seems to be like many of us here in Liberty County in his reaction to both the liberal agenda of Barack Obama and the disregard for ethics in our own courthouse. His party affiliations have not be very definitive in the past but recent problems with Democrats seem to be helping people seeking office for the first time decide that they can help Liberty County better from the Republican side.

Chambers was a class act when he won the Democratic primary and when he lost the general.

It is quite obvious that the Liberty County Democrat Party is hemorrhaging profusely.

The 2010 election will render the Dems useless and powerless. I don’t really want to offer this suggestion because there may be someone in the Donkey Party that might listen.

But...the Democrats would be smart to CAN Nancy Archer before the Party is put on life support.

Im no Tommy Chambers fan but will vote for him instead of Obama Zbranak any day. Pdople like Youngblood, Buchanan and the corrupt in the courthouse has killed the Democrat party in Liberty County. Nancy Archer is a do nothing, know nothing worthless party chair for the Dems.

EVERY Democrat officeholder is vulnerable in Liberty County. And the Democrats that have been publicly partisan in the past are vulnerable if they switch to the Republican party. Sunshine and fresh air are on their way here!

I agree about the partisans by also know that the corrupt Dems and Repubs are on the way out, Liberty County has wised up. Now watch them act out.

People in both political Parties are fed up with the incumbants, now in office. There will be a big shake up at the next election in Liberty County. People are tired of all the rumors and fraud investigations. We are also tired of being the laughing stock of Southeast Texas. We need to elect people that are not from the old career politician families in Liberty County. Can't wait until election time.

It may be that it is partly because of his opponent, a spoiled brat with delusions of grandeur known to be a hot head, but Chambers has an unsuual consensus of both Republicans and Democrats that are talking him up for the County Court at Law Judgeship. He made no enemies in his last race and though he was born and raised here, he leaves an impression of maturity and wisdom that is needed when one assumes the black robes that are worn on the bench.

Maybe Tommy was taking marching orders from his boss, Wes Hinch. Tommy would not knowingly help Phil and Vickery. The only one who helping Phil and Glen Vickery is their cover man, Judge CT Height.

He did and yes it was knowingly. Helping the "money", and thats corruption. Liberty County does not need him.

Yes, Liberty County needs someone like Tommy Chambers. I have lived in Liberty Co. for 60 years and have known Tommy Chambers all his life. He is the most brutally honest person I have ever known. It would be refreshing to have a judge not pressured or influenced by "public opinion". Integrity and ethics would begin to be restored with Tommy on the bench.
