LIBERTY COUNTY DA CANDIDATE LOGAN PICKETT IS IN LEGAL HOT WATER, AGAIN....

Logan Pickett, the current District Attorney for Liberty County, has now added another run-in with the law to add to the court date in front of a Houston Judge for an incident where he beat his wife in response to her having the wherewithal to confront him about the sex he has been engaging regularly for over a year in the courthouse with a married woman with children.

Pickett surprised many people when he did not step down from his position after revelations of wife beating and adultery. He furthered surprised many when he signed up to run for re-election and informed Houston media Liberty County citizens had a different view of the laws he broke than Houstonians. So I guess nobody should be surprised now to find out a little digging in the courthouse has revealed he has ignored state election law.

Pickett, according to longstanding law, was due to inform the public of the donations he has received to his campaign and his expenditures.

Since he has failed to file the report voters have no information about where or who his campaign has received money from on the third reporting period. His first two reports show almost no public support. His family has financed some of his campaign however. As election day approaches, citizens that appreciate openness in campaign financing will be disappointed.

We have no information on how, or if Pickett, will respond to breaking this law or if he will again call it a "private matter" as he called the bruises on his wife's face.

Some involved in politics that know Pickett predict his father will take the blame for the law not being followed.

CALLS TO THE TEXAS STATE ETHICS COMMISSION WERE ANSWERED WITH: "We cannot answer questions related to an ongoing investigation."
