Video of The Local GOP Chairman Ignoring Executive Committee

We here at Liberty Dispatch realize it is one thing to discuss items and show proof of items. While we can discuss the Chairman breaking rules and not following the demands of the Executive Committee as in our past post- http://libertydispatch.blogspot.com/2016/04/liberty-county-republican-chairman-goes_16.html . Without being there, it can be said it was just hearsay.

We have obtained exclusive video of a portion of the previous Republican Party meeting in which the Chairman broke Roberts Rules and misrepresented a true understanding of them to prevent a possible censure vote or a demand that slanderous statements be removed from the official party webpage. He also was very clear he did not want the Executive Committee to be heard . In this clip Precinct Chairman Sherial Lawson had already risen once to have the agenda corrected and new business added or a possible closed session added so that the recent happenings could be discussed in private. The Chairman overruled her and said at first that he never received her email. Then the Chairman said that per the rules it had to be a 72 hour notice and only he could call an executive session and that was told to him by the Republican Party of Texas. Obviously, he was incorrect as Ms. Lawson stands to state she has called the party during this meeting and correct some untruths. This is why it picks up with her stating she has the State Parliamentarian's phone number and anyone could call him. Watch the clip below, and we'll follow up with some errors in procedure made by the chairman.

The first item of note was as soon as Mr. Coleman again overruled Ms. Lawson and said she  had to wait 72 hours after. She clearly has shown she met that timetable Next, you'll notice another Precinct Chairman, Brian Smith, rises to challenge the decision of the chair and it was seconded. This rule is very specific in order to give the body a chance to drive discussion that clearly the Chairman does  not wish to discuss. Yes, as we have previously stated, the Chairman is not a King, but merely a facilitator of the meeting. Once this challenge motion is laid,  it is not open to debate, it is not up for discussion, the body votes. Precinct Chairman, Ray Ansley is within his right to immediately rise and ask for a recorded vote. Clearly a voice from the other side of the room speaks up who is not on the executive committee saying something about bylaws. The bylaws of the Republican Party in Liberty County state that Roberts Rules of Order are to be used in meetings. It is at this point Mr. Coleman calls a recesses-WITH a motion still on the table. In essence, he has given himself a 10 minute window of discussion.  Additionally, he has once again over-stepped his authority by calling a recess without consent of the body or a vote of the body while the motion lays on the table for a vote. A vote that clearly wasn't going to go in his favor.

So, clearly, the Chairman has no respect for the order of the body but for when it suits his agenda only. This is shown even more clearly shown in later videos that evening. We will withhold those in an attempt to see if the Chairman finally heeds the advice of his Executive Committee and removes the content from the website. If not, we clearly intend to show more rule breaking, with even a former Republican Party Chairman having to correct him on some of his demands.

Liberty Dispatch will stand by its belief that the actions of the Chairman are a disgrace to the party and the process. It shows the Chairman clearly running the meeting as his personal show while ignoring the request of duly elected representatives by the public (Precinct Chairmen), trying to reconcile an issue that was done in their name on a website representing the Liberty County Republican Party.

Mr. Chairman, clearly it is shown now, your statements on the party website were that of a personal opinion. You clearly misrepresented the views of the voting body of the party. It's time to remove the nonsense.

Wow! Heated meeting. And what role does Mrs. Coleman even hold in the party?

Is Coleman on crack?

Anonymous said...

It seems like it as of late

Coleman's obvious endorsement of Candidiate Bailes is also an endorsement by Wes Hinch and John Otto. Bailes is an establishment Republican who seeks to strangle the people of Texas and harm our freedoms. He is corrupt just like Otto and Hinch. Beware!

This has been quite entertaining. Thanks for sharing the video. What an embarrassing way to end your term as chairman lol

Liberty Dispatch Thanks

Wes Hinch is a good, honest and decent man. Unless you have evidence of what you allege, your charges are baseless mudslinging.

Wes Hinch has a documented history of being a stupid moron and a bald faced liar. The reason he was served in a recent election with a humiliating loss is because he was exposed for what he is, again ... A moron and a bald faced corrupt liar. Bye bye Wes "Liar" Hinch, don't let the door hit you in your pathetic rear end.

"Anonymous said...Wes Hinch has a documented history of being a stupid moron and a bald faced liar" This comment has nothing to do with truth, Does Wes Hinch every tell something that is not true, I have not caught him. Calling people names is childish if anonymous has something to share okay but if Liberty Dispatch continues to allow this kind of comment I will not follow, nor encourage others to follow their blog.

Ray- as long as someone isn't using foul language, we're not going to delete comments. Anyone can voice what they feel here. If something goes over the line, we will address it. Whomever has made this comment clearly has an issue with Wes Hinch. While Liberty Dispatch has not said this and doesn't indicate agreement, whomever has said it is free to. We suggest to just ignore the poster if you disagree.

I had no problem with John Otto, but this Ernest Bailes character is a Trojan horse. He is misleading in his comments about who funded him and he is misleading about Keith Strahan's positions. If voters were to go to t6wo or three places where both men speak, they would know what I say is true.

You are wrong when you speak to no problem with John Otto. He has hurt Liberty County more than anyone else in the history of Liberty County. His proverbial front man was Terri Bivens. When Otto wanted to exact revenge against someone, he would have Terri Bivens go to public officials like County Attorney Wes Hinch to make sure he would use his corruption to exact revenge on people Otto and Bivens didn't like. Otto and Bivens would also do the same with past Liberty County DA Mike Little, Otto and Bivens made Mike Little their __ itch too. Otto and Bivens are trying to get Ernest Bailes elected so they can exact revenge and control Liberty County through Austin. Make no mistake, Otto and Bivens are part of the dying establishment in the Republican Party. Their grubby twisted decrypted hands are hanging on to whatever corruption they can this election. Vote Strahan for meaningful change against the machine!

I had no problem with John Otto either. He focused on some things I thought he shouldn't and he did not focus on what I considered priorities, but he was better than that what we had before. I never paid any attention to the Bivens woman or contemplated how much John listened to her so I have no comment there. As for the current election, Ernest is a typical politician and says all kinds of stuff he thinks will get him votes. The whole deal of him being more pro-life and more second amendment is just deception. The criticsm and implications he throws out against home schooling is misleading too. Keith's mom was a public school teacher and Keith will always push for better education no matter the method. And the characterization of Keith as the outsider trying to penetrate a county that is not his home and a party he is not connected to as well as he is, is just a bold face lie. Democrats and left leaning Republicans want Ernest Bailes to be elected.

I didn't know Otto but I knew he was involved in some pretty shady stuff. If you don't know him would you have no idea, he would never get his DNA on anything, always used people like Bivens and Wes Hinch. By the way, I did know Wes Hinch and I can tell you this... Anyone (like Otto) who would hand pick Wes Hinch to replace him or for anything is corrupt to the core and shifty. No thanks, you can lick the Otto boots all you want, I have no stomach for him and neither does Liberty County.

This the poster that stated things said about Keith is just a "bold faced lie" it's... "Bald Faced Lie"

Lester Wisegerber and his buddy Ken Colemen may want to portray themselves as wise older men have been leaders for the Republican party but both of them held positions that required them to be partisan. Their job was to be partisan. The job was not to promote the candidates that came in to sign up as Republicans but were either Democrats or real close to it over conservative candidates. If the public only had known how many of the hardest working and best informed local Republicans wanted to fire both of them, noone but Democrats would listen to their politics.

The new chairman will bring back honor and democracy to the republican party and those who donot like it will fade away.
