(09/01/2011- Liberty, Texas) At a recent Commissioner's Court meeting our Liberty County Judge Craig McNair showed why Liberty Dispatch supported him in the last primary and general election.
McNair comes from several generations of well respected Republicans who have selflessly and tirelessly contributed to our party. The McNairs have proven they are willing to incorporate the conservative platform into real world action. The Republican Party has a proven formula for fiscal responsibility and the McNairs aren't afraid to use that formula.
With each commissioner's meeting McNair continues to stand up to those who would seek to continue damaging Liberty County for their own selfish motives.
Liberty Dispatch hopes other Liberty County Republican office holders learn from the McNair formula and stand up to the harmful liberal and RINO interest that still poisons Liberty County.
With the coming election sign-up for the 2012 drawing near, people interested in signing up to run for public office need to take a lesson from McNair's action. If you cant support the system with conservative values and fiscal responsibility- don't waste the voter's time.

Right on Ray...
McNair handed Todd Fontenot's @ss to him, it was a beautiful thing and many years overdue. Thank you Jesus!
Melvin Hunt was glad he was stopped from spending money???? Melvin Hunt said in the commissioners meeting that he was glad someone saved him from himself? That is a 100% Democrat through and through.
Hunt, Brown and Fontenot prove that Democrats know no end to spending.
I gave Craig McNair my vote in the last election. He earned it this week.
Hunt is the worst commissioner we have ever had in Cleveland and if Fontenot weren't around, he may be the worst commissioner the county has ever had.
FIRE FONTENOT FAST. 2012 is upon us!
Akins, you and Mcnair are going to be sorry.
If standing up for whats right will make me sorry, so be it and Im sure Craig feels the same.
Fontenot has lots of family in Liberty County who are attorneys and in positions of power, I wouldnt ignore their threats.
Fontenot can follow the dems from the last election.
We need a strong Republican and conservative to run against Fontenot who would help clean up the corruption in the courthouse.
I agree, Judge McNair is what Liberty County has needed for a very long time. I too want to thank the McNairs for all their hard work to make Liberty County a better place.
I heard Todd Fontenot and Mike Little want everyone in Liberty County to take a mark on them if they live in Liberty County.
First I'd like to say that as a countryman of this once proud nation who how has shed sweat and blood to protect our freedoms it joys and pains me to see what these elected officials think is right and wrong. while i commend Mr. McNair for stepping up and trying to take control of the county's degrading financial situation has anyone been paying attention to exactly how he is 'fixing' the problem? He is currently cutting 20 some odd positions from the county, and while half of these are currently vacant and obviously not severly needed most of the others are. All while he and all the other elected officals continue to pull their grossly inflated salaries (60k and up, the judge himself making 105k). I have to ask the question if mr. mcnair even evaluated these positions he is downgrading and on even in some cases completly eliminating. examples: the deputy constables from pct 1 and 3. we all know that the actual constables that were elected also have full time jobs but why are u cutting the guys that are actually doing the work? why not cut the constables pay? ex 2. if you have ever been on to the jp 4 offices then you know how busy these ladies are and from what ive heard its one of the highest grossing jp offices. why would you cut someone from that office and make things even worse and create even more of a back log? same thing goes with the hr/treasurers office. Ive had to deal with them a couple of times and they run around in there like little chickens with all that they manage (it was explained to me once by the hr director and it boggled my mind that there were only three of them when at another company i worked for had a smaller workforce and less to deal with and had 5 employees). Another office to mention would be jp 5. you're cutting the secretaries that actually is there to work. the jp out there is also a teacher at ths and the other secretary is a judge in cleveland. I'd personnaly like to see time cards fir her because you know she isnt at the office. and if you think for a second that any of the elected officals that run these offices help or pull their weight the only one might be judge graves. And how one arth do you justify among all these cuts you are proposing giving a raise to one of your people?! If my understanding of that situation is correct, her raise (which is still questionable since she manages herself and not others and.had no real inrease in duties since she was covering the extra work before your change in staff) should come from the secetary salary that is no longer held by that responsibility. as for the rest...ha. heck i've even heard other elected make jokes about one anothers attendance. Instead of what you're doing mr. mcnair you need to evaluate these positions and find out their necessity before you cut them. Also you and the other county officials need to take a good long look at yourselves and make cuts there. can you explain why you are getting 15k vehcile expense? where do you go? i wish my job paid me to drive to and from work and home. All I'm saying is you have an opportunity to do good for the county and its citizens. But you wont acheive your goal successfully by keeping frivolus spending and cutting desperatly need personell. I have faith that you can get things straight I wouldn't jave voted for you other wise. Anof course if you fail, well the citizens of the county will notice the longer lines, slower response time, increase in crime rates, and inability to offer emloyees, retired county emloyees, and citizens valuable services. Straighten it out and think before you act. Don't make me and others regret voting for you and our party. Its hard enough with some of the reps that won reelection and dont do anything or arnt ever at work and dont know half of what goes on in their office. And please forgive any of my grammatical errors, I'm in no way an english teacher and never wanted to be.
Death before dishonor. OOOHRAHH!
"I heard"?
"to take a mark on them"?
"prison for not having Obamacare"?
"Obamacare's 'duty to die' clause"?
They can take that up with some of LD's closest friends:
Smith
Wesson
Browning
Colt
Winchester
Remington
Magnum
Let's just see them try it!
Ray, who are you going to support for Commissioner Pct. 1 race?
What do you mean McNairs respected and tireless working for the party?
Over the years I have seen the elder Mrs. McNair in the hot sun and long hours at polling places giving of her time interest to the party and in her son's campaign when it wasn't fashionable in Liberty County to be a Republican. These people are true conservatives and deserve the highest respect and regard in our party and community. The hard work they have done has not been openly appreciated enough. People take for granted the blood sweat and tears people have put into our party. The elder McNairs will always have my admiration and respect. To support Craig was a no-brainer...
I will support the winner of the Republican primary.
""Smith
Wesson
Browning
Colt

The ""Magnificent Seven""?
(grin)
(wink)
That is exactly what I will do too,Ray. I am hoping for a good candidate for Prct.# 1 this coming election. (HAWK)
