There is nothing unusual about having unfilled precinct chairmanships in either party in Liberty County politics. But Liberty Dispatch thinks it is a unique and exciting time in Liberty County to be a Republican and therefore we are posting the areas or the polling places that have vacancies on the Liberty County Republican Party Executive Committee. If you are of voting age, live in Liberty County, and did not vote in the last Democrat party primary and area conservative interested in one of these positions please give us contact information in the comment section with this posting or contact Republican Party Chairman Andy McCreight.

I used to be a precinct chair. I sleep better not knowing what everybody's doing.
I prefer being involved and up to date on our local politics. The better enabling me to vote for the right person at election time.
I prefer not listening to the "Unity"- (no matter what the corruption, nor how rampant) mentality. The last thing we need is unity, as we get railroaded, and our kids' futures sacrificed to greed and corruption.
I think the prolonged drought angle is darned good therapy for them. They need to be dry, and stay dry, until things get permanently changed.
I am interested in the position at the Pentecostal Church Hw105, Moss Hill. While I was there voting in the last election, a man came in and asked if they had ever got his voting precinct straightened out. He and his wife lives in the Moss Hill precinct. He said in the last election his wife voted at Moss Hill but he had to go to Hardin to vote even though he did not live in that precinct. His wife had been in earlier that day to vote, but they told him he would have to go to Hardin to vote. He didn't understand why he had to vote in a different precinct than his wife when they lived at the same house. Another man had just completed his ballot and deposited it in the ballot box. He walked over to the officials and said "Do I have to sign in or anything?" So, he signed in after he had already voted and because he saw other people signing in. This just is not right. They seemed totally unorganized and I was only there a very few minutes.
