Ten or so years ago, Republicans ran someone against every Democrat just about. Just like this time. In some of the races Republicans lost by less than ten percent. The only thing that won it for Democrats then was straight ticket voting. Thank God this party survived until a reason to vote straight ticket the other way happened. The swing was amazing.
I remember those days. The only way an idiot like Tookie Kirkham could get elected dog catcher was to ride the wave of straight ticket Democrat voting. He could never win the nomination as a Republican, but Democrats used him as their puppet. We need to have t-shirts made that say "I survived Tookie".
Kirkham is still being used by Mike Little to bury the sins of the past. Stay tuned. If he raises his head up high enough, we may be able to get some past injustices corrected.
When the wind blows you can tell whether ole Judge Kirkham is around. It makes a whistling noise as it passes in one of his ears and out the other.
Hey, don't talk about the Kirkhams in past tense just yet. They are still "contributing" to the county. Kirkham is a grand jury foreman win Little needs to go after someone and the case is not open and shut. Cordella or whatever Kirkham's woman 's name is - she is on the appraissal district. Anyone that allows these USERS to have a position of importance should be on the "not fit for prime time" list. the whistle someone spoke of is evidence enough.
Anyone planning on trying to prove criminal activity on the part of Lloyd "Tookie" Kirkham has one big obstacle to overcome. When the Judge pleads ignorance, who can possibly argue with him?

Now, let me deliver a STERN WARNING, to the remaining democrats (This ESPECIALLY applies to the 14, who weren't up for election in 2010):
Appear, as a bedfellow of vanesa's schemes/scams, in ANY way, shape, or form... and you'll be out too, at the next election!
This includes: advertising in her rags (Dayton News, or either advocate), appearing at her events, serving as a columnist, blogging on her website, attacks/defamations on citizens therein, being featured in her rags, or supporting her,... in any way!!!!
We're watching, and you WILL be held accountable at the polls!

The people on the Appraisal Review Board are appointed by the Commissioners Court, so they are just as involved in this scam as anyone else. The people on these Fire Districts are also appointed by the Commissioners. These Districts should be represented by people we elect to these positions and not appointed by some of their friends on Commissiones Court.

it's juries "of the thieves, by the thieves, and for the thieves."

We are being TAXED for a Fire District, so how can the Commisioners be the ones who says who will set on the Fire District board. We have no one representing us here. These people are representing what the County Commissioners want, not what the people want. How is it that the Commissioners dole out the money to these Fire Dept's? I thought if you had a Board of Trustees in place, that they were the ones in charge of their Districts tax funds. We didn't vote these people in office. Oh well this is after all, Liberty County. The Liberty County Mafia.
I see Louis Bergman is still employrf by county. Big crook he screwed so many people into buying property with all kinds of leins on them. The new owners had to pay or loose the prop. while his kids went off to college and he built that big new house. Just the fence wouldve paid a bunch of back taxes on property. And Liberty County knew what he was doing. I know from first hand experience with myu parents prop.
