It took a month, but the controversy surrounding Louis Guthrie, a former Harris County sheriff’s deputy and former Republican candidate for Harris County Pct. 4 Constable, has finally found him in Liberty County.
Guthrie, one of the newest hires for the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), was fired from Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) back in 2009, after 17 years with the department, for allegedly initiating a full-blown investigation at an Humble car wash in July 2009 after $16 was stolen from his wife’s vehicle."
Local alleged liberal news outlet, the Cleveland Advocate has published a recent story which has become an interest to Liberty Dispatch readers.
Vanesa Brashier, Advocate Editor seems to alert Liberty County residents that a controversial figure and law enforcement officer, Louis Guthrie from Harris County, has been hired by Liberty County Sheriff, Henry Patterson. She goes on to explain in detail how this man had multiple problems and accusations against him in his past. All allegations against this man to date have been cleared. The only controversy in Liberty County surrounding this man is what Brashier has created.
Next she appears to cast a shadow of doubt on Sheriff Patterson's judgment in hiring people who have been a-political and/or conservative history... as if its a negative for a public official or officer to be conservative.
In Brashier's story she claims: "Liberty County Sheriff Henry Patterson was asked to comment for this article, but he declined." According to statements made to Liberty Dispatch from the Liberty County Sheriff's Department, the Sheriff talked to Vanesa Brashier for over an hour about Officer Guthrie.
What puzzles many Liberty Dispatch readers is the fact that documented crimes have been committed and publicly exposed in Liberty County but... ignored by the local media. It appears the local liberal media has become an unwitting conspirator in those documented crimes by their non-reporting.
In all appearances, Liberty Dispatch is somewhat impressed with Guthrie's conservative stances and past work.
Its appears we have more than a few media outlets in Liberty County who have a real aversion to the Republican Party and/or Conservatives.

I was disappointed in Brashier after reading his article. he is not only a tool for the Democrats, se s beigused by the deputies that wre overlooked fr promotion.
Sheriff Arthur let deputies roll up comp time Liberty County is still paying for and he allowed them to take side jobs and use the coutys cars. That is what all of the griping is reall about. Vanessa and others are in wa over their heads.

Vanesa, with all due respect, why arent you investigating the major crimes as reported here? What are you trying to cover-up?
Louis Guthrie must have been doing something right in order to stay at his job in Harris County for 17 years. Sometimes when new people move in the command position, you have to move on to another job. This is just the way things work, so Vanesa don't be running this man down on some meaningless,trumped up charge that you think you have found.
I agre with the last comment. BUUUTT I believe when The Advocate and The Dayton News review the election n research the accusatios, they will see hhave a win/win situation and they will report on the corruption.
Report or not whoever "the outsiders" are and whgoever this website includes, there is nothing that can now stop the feds from hearing and seeing the evidence and indicting criminals. Report on the coming storm or appear to have ignored it util it rains? Either way the stories come out. KSHN can not spin their buddies out of acts that are chronicled adn Brashier is plenty bright enough to see she can rule the roost if she does her job AGGRESSIVELY.
Deputy Guthrie you "shook" what happened on that day, now show us what an upstanding deputy you are. On a problem like you had, Liberty CVounty has had their duly elected representative interview you and he says you will do a good job. Now the proof is in the pudding. I bet you will too.

another vanesa promoted event bombed on Saturday. The 'keep cleveland beautiful' (try moving some of these scumbags to jail) fall market, had nobody there but the vendors- and the poor church choir, singing November Christmas carols, for 'four walls'. Sans an 'encore', they started conga lining around the dejected vendors, out of sheer boredom. HA!
It's getting to where nobody attends events she publicizes, patronizes her advertisers, or even reads her dribble. I'd be hard pressed to find 100 paid subscribers. Let's see her stay in business, now that the dem's know how ineffective her political endorsement really is! Scratch: one cash cow...

the facts ARE straight. What part of 'vanesa promoted event' CONFUSES you? The fact remains, everything she promotes BOMBS!
The area's mega tired of her schemes, including:
1. the chamber stealing the civic center (she's a board member, and mega promoted the scheme.)
2. the red light cameras- she promoted the scheme.
3. the single church dictatorship of north county, including school board, county commissioner, mayor and city council offices. Yes, her staffer is a member, as is her predecessor- trish jones (who still appears in her comments, from FLORIDA).
4. the 'candidate forum' scam, designed to ambush all conservative candidates.
5. the smear the republican stories, constantly appearing in her rags.
6. the push of the current petition, to oust the opposition's council members, - knowing her church bunch can't get control, any other way, until May of 2012.
7. Her online, character assassination clique.
Facts are: she's neck deep, in all of those schemes, and is the major reason behind the consumer boycott of the area's businesses (currently, with an $8 million sales shortfall, for the year).
Let's see her accept the RESPONSIBILITY for her misdeeds and RESIGN!

Hey guys, word is out about a civil suit filed in Liberty County against the Advocate. Filed in August/10, how did that get by ya'll.
Does the suit involve a lack of journalistic integrity?
I think the Cleveland petition organizers are impeaching the wrong bunch. They should be targetting the chamber board members; who are sucking that city, the taxpayers, and civic center dry. They are causing their member businesses' sales to decline. Nothing angers consumers more than thieving insiders, corrupt officials, and red light camera scams. Cleveland's overrun with all three.

probably, because suits against the advocate are such frequent events, as to seldom be worthy of a printer's ink. This site has posted dozens of potential suits, and the stories warranting them.

It appears... that the advocate's democratic, financial backers (read: deep pockets), are NONE TOO HAPPY, with their wholesale ousting, by the LC voters- nor the scandalous actions, of a certain duhhhNesa (and her online defamation clique), who CAUSED it!
(not to mention, that the backers are just now realizing, how ineffective duhhNesa's endorsements actually ARE... and.... exactly how WASTED, is money, spent on political ads/feature stories, in her rags!)
