LIBERTY, Texas -- An ongoing property dispute among neighbors turned deadly, when one shot and killed the other, deputies said Sunday.
Liberty County deputies were called to a disturbance on FM 2830 South near Highway 90 at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived, they said they found Larry Hardy, 56, had been shot.
Investigators said Hardy was outside checking his property because land surveyors are expected to go out there on Monday.
They said Willy Stuart, 60, walked outside of his home and shot Hardy.
Hardy's brother said Stuart was upset because their family was about to start building a home on their property.
Stuart was arrested and charges are pending.

This kind of thing happens because DA, Mike Little is too busy going after his political enemies and retribution with selective prosecution.
Yeah, Little's priorities have put Liberty County's safety and image in jeopardy.
If Delia would keep honest property records this wouldn't have happened.

This had nothing to do with records. The shooter was crazy and claiming land that has belonged to the Hardy family for 20 years. This is just a horrible tragedy committed by a crazy man.

If you only knew - that this office is the office were you record your deed. Dip she is not an attorney nor a surveyor - it's not the clerk's responsibility to verify anything in a deed - just record it. They don't even verify if you have the proper legal description attached. This sounds like something her opponent would want you to believe. You should be thinking, if that is possible about this poor family and what they are going through. Not trying to put the blame on someone that absolutly had nothing to do with the horrible tragedy, a man lost his life.
After Delia reads the Part 5 story about to be released, she may want to rethink making any public appearances.
After reading part #5,it seems like Delia does more than just record deeds and papers. Looks like she also hides or destroys deeds for monetery gain and then refuses requests for anything pertaining to this Fairchild SCAM. What is our Attorney General and Federal courts going to do about this SCAM? Probably nothing, because these people are some of their political partners.
