There are several differences in the Liberty County version however. First thing anyone who chooses to go will notice that the deals are made in the 75th District Court rather than a studio in Burbank, California. The second thing any longtime fan of the original show will notice is that instead of the iconic Monty Hall, Liberty County has Rusty Hight cutting the deals.
But the difference in the host and the location is not what makes Wednesdays worth noting. Observers will notice that the deals are cut on much different terms when Hight is in charge. First this deal making skips the three doors. There is no excitement for the audience. No cheering for door number one or door number three. No trading door number two for a big box that ends up having three flat tires in it. The deals are cut behind closed doors. And they are all wonderful. What 75th District Court Judge Rusty Hight gives away is just as toe tingling and just as worthy of a loud whooping jump up and down scream to some of the people appearing in orange jumpsuits and shackles before him as all of the clowns that dressed up to get on Monty Hall’s television show. You see what Hight is giving away doesn’t come from money generated by a television show. On Wednesdays, the days when the least people are in the courtroom, Hight gives away bargain basement sentences.
Hight gives away light sentences and he has even been known to suspend someone’s probation after sentencing them the day before in front of a much larger crowd in the courtroom on Tuesday.
You see Wednesdays are days that Rusty Hight gets to play Monty Hall, or some might say Santa Claus or even God. We encourage people that are at home on Wednesday mornings to turn their televisions off and go watch child molesters and drug dealers receive whatever door Judge Hight has chosen to give them.
Be sure and note who the attorneys for the criminals are so that you can follow the money in future stories. And if you get a chance to come on other days be sure and notice how on rare occasions, Hight does his version of Judge Roy Bean and tries to hang one of his political or personal enemies with a tough judgment against them.
The things that have gone on in this courtroom during Hight’s tenure would make an interesting reality show. Unfortunately, the reality of this Judge’s decisions leave us all vulnerable. People are subject to not only his willingness to use the law to punish innocent people, we are subject to the criminals he let’s back out on the streets.

You people keep implying he has some kind of connection, a money connection or a political connection, with attorneys that are appearing before him. PAY UP OR SHUT UP!
I have nothing against Michelle Meendino, but if you follow hr around for a day Ry, you will learn all kinds of things about C.T. "Rusty" Hight.
I know.
What really makes me sick is how Hight tries tosmooze with his jury pools. He wants to add those he "charms" while waiting for himto get his mojo going for the lousy $10 for a jury summons to his core of Dayton good ol boys so he can contine to play Monty Hall.
He was sued for malpractice years ago by a prominen Liberty citizen. He probably cut some kind of deal because I don't emember the results. 10 to 1 whoever sued him is tryig to help him get elected. Monty Hall is a good comparison. The wheeling and dealing Judge, Rusty can work it out in the backroom if there is something in it for him.
Hight is a typical liberal. He thinks if a child molester comes before him in court that he (Rusty Hight) can get him help and chage his lie. Reminds you of Obama parting the seas huh?
Anybody that went to school with Rusty Hight knows he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. But that is not to say he can't cut some really good deals for himself.
People can say what they want about his faithfulnes but at least Rusty Hight married the person he lives with. His opponent has lived with a woman and raised a child for almost two decades. I will admit the child is wonderful but what kind of example was that to her.
A little warning to Hight campaign: the intentional lies you are telling about Mark Morefield's health is despicable. Vets and patriotic Americans will not appreciate you lying about anything that is related to the time he served honorably in Vietnam. Morefield is in good health now. He did nothing to deserve it but neverthless hefought for his life one more time after leaving Vietnam. And he won.
Nothing Hight says or does surprises me. Sometmes he makes me wonder if lying and cheating causes hair loss!
Talk to Morefield about the law and talk to Hight aboutthe law and you will want to elect a new Judge.
Hight's lenient handling of sex offenders that come before him seems to be much more serious than simply thinking that he can help them and change their behavior, it appears that he thinks that their behavior is somewhat normal or that their deviant behavior is no different than a hot check writer and that they present no more of a threat or danger to the community than any other convicted felon. In reality, he apparently has never grasped the fact that the public expects, if not demands to be protected from these deviant offenders, not coddled and treated as if they had done nothing more that break a minor traffic law.
Height's new campaign adviser is sex offender John Fason
I thought his new campaign manager was non other than Eric Latz.
Mark Morefield has offered marriage on more than one occassion to his daughter's mother and she has chosen to leave the relationship as it is...her decision, not his. He could, easily, have walked away and just paid child support, but he chose to stay in the relationship, as it was, and raise his daughter. I commend him on that.
I think absolving Rusty Hight of his unfaithfulness just because "he's married to the person he lives with" is ludicrous. Mark Morefield has honored his vows with his significant other...whether they were performed in a church or not. Rusty Hight has made a CHOICE, on more than one occassion, to NOT honor his vows.
Anyone who saw Hight practice law in a court room knows he is a joke. He used to carry a laminated "cheat sheet" of case laws so he could look it up in the books he carried and half the time his "cheat sheet" was wrong or he couldn't read it and made an A** out of himself in court. He should have had his license pulled years ago!
Hight's campaign manager, Eric Latz... Is Latz trolling for the sex offender vote?
"Cheat sheet" - Rusty Hight! Hahahahahahahahaha!
I think he got that cheat sheet from his old partner Judge Taylor. I guess two "duhs" makes a wrong!
Liberty County has sunk to new low by electing the same Height. If you are from Liberty County and ignored local politics up until now, it is time to tune in, There is a judge down there at that courthouse in Liberty that mis doing whatever he wants to do and now that it is campaign time a whispering campaign against his opponent is what he is banking on will keep him in office. The Judge's name is really spelled H-I-G-H-T, but trust me, if you appear before him in court and there is a deal worked for the oether side in a lawsuit, Hight doesn's care how justice is spelled. He has no respect for the people. Height or Hight or whatever he calls himself, he is not a good person.
Cutting deals is the nature of Democrats Look t Charlie Rangel.Rep. Gene Green, who’s on the subcommittee that investigated the New York Democrat, says that’s the recommended penalty for the 20-term New York Democrat. Rangel is facing 13 charges of wrongdoing.
A reprimand. The same penalty that Joe Wilson got for yelling “You Lie” during a Presidential speech last September. It’s barely even a slap on the wrist
cutting deals? Here's the rule: if you enjoy sausage or law, don't watch either one being made!
