I am a Republican and live here in Liberty. Last week I heard two men talking about how Republicans would have a difficult time winning this November because of the poor performance by the new Republican Sheriff.
Looking at the slate of candidates the Democrats have scraped up for this next election, the comments I overheard maybe the Democrats big strategy to get voters to vote for their candidates. It seems pretty lame, but I wanted you to know.
The “new Sheriff” evidently has two big anvils hanging around his neck that he needs to cut loose. Steve Green and a man named Kelly. These two men are what the Democrats referred to as “our ticket to victory”.
Post this if you want to, but I really just wanted your feedback and to make you guys aware we have a problem.

There is a problem with Sheriff Patterson. He needs to get moving and make some changes NOW. I have noticed him at some of the Commissioners Court meeting. He is all smiles and hand shaking and hugging the ladies, but he needs to get this Sheriff Dept. running in the right direction. Get rid of these people that are dragging you down Henry or you can wind up at the house without a job.
We know there is a problem...
Patterson went into a tough situation after Fairchild stirred everything up against him. But Steve is not the guy to head up relations within the department or with the public. This is not an area he has any expertise in. Patterson needs to reornize or he will be villified all four years of his term.
With Steve Green in charge of public relations and writing policy, Henry Patterson will be a one termer at most.
Thank God Geg Arthu will be 70 years old and he is too old to be sheriff again because if he wasn't Rusty Hight would jump through hoops to get his point man back in there.
Republicans on the ballot would rather have voters thinking about disgraced County Judge Phil Fitgerald's relationship to Rusty Hight and Zack Zbranek than why Patterson holds on to Kelly. Patterson has a responsibility to voters and to Republicans.
I am told Henry Patterson is an unusually good man, a serious Christian. If that is so I would like someone to ask Mr. Patterson why he refuses to defend himself and answer qustions in order to inform the public. Other people will be hurt by your silence.ay lose elections because of the vacuum you have left. Many of us know the rough and tumble style the two lawyers have at election time. Hight and Zbranek will fill in any blanks you leave Mr. Patterson. You are not the only one effected here.
sgt. Harper needs to go. He has really pulled some stunts this yr. when I can talk about it I will but he abuses "HisPower"
