Tonight history was made when 253rd Judge, Chap Cain was re-elected and relatively unknown Liberty County Republican Chairman candidate, Andy McCreight was elected over two term Republican Chair and prior County Judge candidate, Lester Ray Wisegerber. Accusations have swirled around Wisegerber's ethics, TRUST FRAUD, retaliation through his son-in-law's court and party allegiance. Liberty Dispatch readers, supporters and others have spoken.
Liberty Dispatch is proud to have supported and now welcomes Judge, Chap Cain and Chairman, Andy McCreight as winners and Republicans. Liberty County will be a much better place because of these two outstanding individuals who will help usher in a new dawning in Liberty County, by the people and for the people.

It will beinteresting to seeif candidates that we knew al,ost nothing about will stay around and help the Republican Party here in this county. I did not vore for Merendino, but several of us who voted for Chap Cain were told that the only way this race could be bad for the Republican Party was if there was a lot of backbiting, so we talked to some of Michelle friends and we made a point to say nice things about her. I hope she hangs around and helps the party and shows us who she is.

I hope Michelle Merindino does stay around and eventually run for elcted office in Liberty County. Michelle we will be watching how you do in the future, so keep your head up and you will some day be in an elected office in Liberty County.
Unfortunately, the voters in Precinct were hoodwinked by Norman Brown into voting him another shot at retaining his office. This goes to show how ignorant voters are of the issues that demand new blood in Liberty County politics. Brown and Wisgerber, with assistance from KSHN, played dirty pool to win this election over Paul Kelly. They impuned his integrity, conned the voters into believing that his owning a business was a handicap and brought up a minor legal issue in his past, after promising him, on air, that there would be no personal attacks. These are the same people who endorsed a County Judge who is under investigation by the FBI along with another County Commissioner.
At least the voters saw through Wisgerber's act and had had enough of Fitzgerald's shenanigans and threw them out.
There is hope for Liberty County, conservatives just need to keep the pressure on the new guys and continue to expose the old guard for what they are, yellow dog Democrats.
Hopefully good old Leroy will defeat pothole
Pothole will be right behind his friend Lester at the november elections. It is time for this old fart to retire and let someone with new and modern ideas serve as Liberty County Commissioner in this Pecinct. Just because I voted in the Republican Primary doesn't mean I have to vote for POTHOLE in the November Elections. Thanks POTHLE, but no thanks. I am tired of replacing tires on my cars because of your POTHOLES.
