Court date set for "Motion to Disqualify" Liberty County ADA Joe Warren.

Liberty County First Assistant District Attorney Joe Warren has had a "Motion to Disqualify" filed against him in the 75th Judicial District Court of Liberty County. The motion stems from Joe Warren's recent arrest for one felony charge of  "Tampering with a Witness" - Misdemeanor "Deadly Conduct" and Misdemeanor "Terroristic Threats".

Local Attorney James D. Evans III will have his "Motion to Disqualify" Joe Warren heard in the 75th Judicial District Court on August 12, 2011 at 10:30am.

Evans represents two of the nationally known alleged Cleveland Rape Case Defendants where Joe Warren is the ADA in the case.  Joe Warren's boss Liberty County DA Mike Little - has refused to dismiss or remove Warren from this case or any other criminal cases now pending in Liberty County, Texas.

You people dont understand, the law doesn't apply to Mike Little or Joe Warren. The law only applies to us little people.

What a mealy mouthed joke! Now, answer this: when's the court date to dis-BAR him?

Same question, for Little's dis-Barment.

Obvious question: exactly WHY are you folks pussy footing around with these slime- balls? Start playing HARD BALL, dammit! We'll never clean up LC, with this mentality prevailing. SHEESH!

Thank you James Evans for this motion to remove Joe Warren from this case. Someone needs to get him out of here. Where is Our State Attorney General at when we need him.

Little people...LOL! I like that "Little" people coming after him. Little should be removed from office for his incompetence in managing the DA's Office.

When Cleveland Police Officer Kelley was charged, he was removed from office the same day. This was the right thing to do!

Mike Little let ADA Joe Warren stay in office. How sick can it be in that Office...Little you are not ABOVE THE PEOPLE of Liberty County...do you understand me Mr.
It's time for you to step down, you are a disgrace to the people of Liberty County in addition to all of those people who help work your “Little Cartel”. God please tell me, where’s the Bleach so we can remove this “Stain from the fabric of Texas”.

Chap is always going to do the right thing, but this doesn't fall in Chaps's court.

There are instances when decisions and rulings are based on the Judge's emotion.(NOTE: If they want to be nice and have compassion..now that is alright..kindness is an acceptable emotion...but, if they are angry...WATCH OUT! :)) I feel this is something that needs to be worked on. However, this is an internal issue...and up to each Judge to deal with...by examining his/or her conscience and their desire to offer each individual a fair chance. RESPONSIBLE DISCRETION!

As we know, emotion is part of all of our human nature.

NONE OF US ARE INFALLIBLE!

( Especially when it comes to our feelings and how we allow them at times to dictate our choices. )

If we are fortunate, when we make a mistake or bad choice, we get another chance... and another day to live and learn.

In a Judge's position, however, it is extremely important to try very hard to keep emotion, ego, resentments, etc. out of the Court Proceedings and Rulings.

It's hard to deal with certain emotions as a lay person, so I can imagine that it is extremely difficult for a Judge to do so... dealing with so many on a daily basis.

Nonetheless, I feel it should be the goal...and, hopefully it is.

As far as the Warren motion being filed and heard in Liberty. There is a " click " in that lovely little Courthouse. DUH! So, we'll just have to pray and hope that this Judge has what it takes to do the right thing.

What is the RIGHT thing?

Hopefully the Judge will let us all know.

duhhNesa's duhhhhness??? dennis s. loves the term. However, the poster merely tipped her off to that item, so she could correct it. C'mon, LD, you can do better! Start the practice of nailing her AFTER the paper's irretrievably, in print.

There's an even better example of "duhhhhnes", on FULL display, but I won't post it until after the paper 'goes to bed' on Monday or Tuesday.

Until then...

Fortunately, this case falls in Judge Morefield's court. He is the most learned judge that has ever been seated on the bench. He will ALWAYS follow the law...regardless of emotion or politics. Unfortunately, that could go either way, as I do not know the law on this situation. I know that, ethically, Warren should remove himself until this is all sorted out, but I don't know if it's against the law for him to prosecute. But once he's indicted, I believe that the law will prevail to remove him from his duties.

I don't know if the law or right will prevail in this issue. I'm hearing that favors are being discussed with an attorney who use to office in the Liberty courthouse and got voted out of office in Harris County.
