I was told to read your website because of a story on some of the things being reported about our young people here in Cleveland. I read it and I want your readers to know what I know.
First you need to realize The Chronicle reported a Texas Ranger and investigators were “Questioning several Cleveland High School students in connection with allegations they sexually assaulted a girl over the Thanksgiving break.” Then you need to realize this story is about the same underage minor we are again hearing about in the news.
I would guess the media knows about this timeline but is reluctant to speculate about it because they do not want to be considered in any way sympathetic toward the accused or against the alleged victim. But I have serious questions about that Texas Ranger and investigators from the District Attorney’s office and the Cleveland Police Department: If your duty is to serve and protect and to defend the innocent and prosecute the guilty, how can you have done your duty if this eleven year old girl continued to be sexually active after she appeared on your radar?
Two things that are horrible to consider appear to be more than possible when reading that officials knew about the minor’s encounters at least as far back as November 2010. No one seems to want to say it, but it may be possible that the minor had serious problems long before her alleged encounters with all of the accused. I don’t say that to put the minor on trial. Engaging in sex with someone so young is wrong and it is statutory rape. But this story has a big twist in it if the minor was aggressively seeking more sexual partners and the Texas Ranger and investigators knew this and used her as bait.
I am in no way saying that the rumored twenty to forty young men alleged to be involved in this are just as much victims as the underage girl. But I am wondering if it is true this girl continues to solicit on her facebook page. I am wondering if risking the physical and psychological welfare of our children in order to secure high profile rape cases against a significant number of our male youth is what we are electing the District Attorney to do. Is this strategy worthy of a Texas Ranger? What have they told our local police that kept them from at least calling CPS or taking some kind of protective action?
It seems to me if this had been handled better back in November 2010 or earlier, the girl would have not have experienced near as much abuse and nearly 4 dozen men would not be hiring lawyers and fighting for their freedom. I can’t be sure why something was not done but I read this site and know it could be one or more things.
Did the fact that the District Attorney has been accused of rape make him reluctant to handle this case in a timely fashion? Is this a political case and officials are timing the case to maximize publicity for political purposes? Was the investigation back in November handled so poorly that officials didn’t realize the minor may have been hunting down males and continuing to add to the list of young men who will face the possibility of life in prison?
Who knows? But I fear that a professional investigating this case will find that this girl may have been seeking sexual encounters much earlier than November 2010. I fear her problems may have been well known to school officials and to investigators before the recently publicized incidents that led to all of these arrests.
I have no intention of claiming this girl is not a victim. In fact it may be she is more of a victim than has been alleged. When looking at the time line it appears that our local officials are set to take front stage and let the cameras roll on crimes that could have been prevented. It may be the girl’s life and the lives of many of these young men were secondary to the agendas of some of our officials.
I hope there is a good explanation for their lack of action, but people in the Cleveland community have reason to doubt it. The news media has reason to question. Once we agree it is wrong for an older person to have sex with a girl this young and we get past even suspecting anyone is trying to attack her further, and then these other questions can be pursued.

You people ain't from around here. You gotta understand the payback. Check it out. Gang banger goes down, but Afro QB smells like a rose. You ain't from around here. These tv people ain't from around here. You gotta understand the payback.
I don't know about conspiracies, but I do know Mike Little has the Blues right now.
One of the accused was involved in a scandal before Thanksgiving that ended in Cleveland ISD staff being fired. I sthere a connection?
I think you people try to connect every bad thing that may or may not have happened to Mike Little. I don't like the man, but everything can't be his fault.
If you recall, in November the political elections were going on in the county and all our officals were concerned about was themselves.
You can say you are not trying to make this young girl look bad all you want, but you are trying to change the focus away from those who raped a minor.
I disagree with the person that is imlying you are making the young girl less of a victim. You are really adding to the list of those who let her down and victimized her. There needs to be an investigation.
If the Ranger talked about is Frank Huff, forget trying to find out anything. He and Little are the King and Queen of this county and we are just now hearing about it.
Are you people drinking kool aid 24/7,or just tonight?
The kool aid drinkers are the ones that do not question how officials could be investigating an underage child for multiple statutory rape cases and miss the fact she is still casting her net out for older guys on the internet.
the first time I saw Mike Little in person I thought he looked like a pervert. As well as the second time. And the third. The fourth. the fifth. So on and so forth.
This case is a who's who of Clevelend Indian football players. Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the list of the accused include three former starting quarterbacks among other things?
DNA is a bummer for criminals.
The whole mess betewen the hispanics and the blacks in Cleveland has gotten out of hand.
There should have been something done about this as soon as our Law Enforcement people and the District attorney found out it was happeneing. I am now wondering what they were waiting on. Three months ago and nothing done until now. Something smells fish about this whole picture. What were they doing and what were they thinking?
I agree the little girl needs to get off of Facebook. We're her parents and why are they not beeing charged. She is a minor who is selling herself on Facebook. Its sad that all those boys are getting charged while she is still out there looking for her next victum..
folks no symapthy here for either the law enforcement nor the accused..The guys involved you committed a crime and should pay for that. To her momma and daddy ...I will pray for you and for your daughter..
Whoever "told you to read this website" gave you some good advice. The other "news" outlets around here tells you what they want you to know and tells you their spin. This site definitely has a point of view but they tell you what it is and they are fearless to tell you stuff that people are scared to talk about.
These are all real people with real families and none of them deserve to be used to further someone's political career.
In an on going investigation by Cleveland, Texas Police and Liberty County Sheriff's Dept, the number of Black male teenagers and adult black males, has reached 10-15 and the number is growing and promised to grow. The crime is sexual assault of a female, under the age of 14, or that what cops say, one report says she is Hispanic, but not clear. Local Houston TV stations have touched on the report, interviewed a few men, older, that said this young lady was on the street soliciting sex and was participating willingly and for sometime. I am not trying to lessen the charge, but very familiar to City of Cleveland, TX and their being other racial issues, because of Black population in the town. This happened in an unused trailer house and seemed like it happened more than once, so since it was a know thing, why no White/Hispanic boys/men involved. This behavior of young girls was taking place, 40-50 years ago, someone needs to monitor before all of these Black men/boys are railroaded thru the system and off to prison. I am a white male, but see a high tech lynching, by people, who still use the “N“ word daily. These Black defendants need council and help. There is more of a story than is being printed or release by Cleveland PD and Liberty County’s Texas Ranger and Liberty County Sheriff, there are people in the community that this young woman, has been soliciting on the streets of Cleveland for sometime, for sex.
These poor Black Males will get court appointed attorneys, and off to prison, when there is more to the story, Help, by shining a light of something being done under the cloak of darkness. Thanks
Unfortunately, the Texas rangers have become nothing more than a group who covers up crimes of the corrupt elected officials. Rangers used to mean something, not anymore.
Why does the commenter who identifies himself as a white male want to drag the Liberty County Sheriff's Office into this investigation? This offense and investigation occurred 100% in the city limits of Cleveland, Texas and has had a complete and thorough investigation by the Cleveland Police Dept.. Give credit or fault where it is due.
Law enforcement and the DA do not get as much praise for creating a crime free environment as they do for catching a bunch of criminals because you have a crime infested environment.
word is that the arrests for the gang rape will complete after basketball season (the team lost in last night's playoff game by ten points). Why? The coach is related to the assistant PD chief, and player(s) are school board VP kids. However the pipeline could have bottled up at the grand jury level or at the unsealing indictment level, not at the PD for arrest level. Welcome to 'who you know'.
Someone should check and see who forked over 2500.00 to get one of the young men out of jail that raped the 11 year old girl. He used to be on the Cleveland City Council and probably owes the young mans father a lot of favors. He liked to brag about all the money he has and the pull he has with pct#20. I bet if it would have been his 11 year old grand daughter he would have a different outlook on the situation.
That would depend on which former councilman it was. At least one, is an attorney, and could be merely handling bail for a paying client.
brag about his money? That would be his only friend, these days. That's why he was voted off the council as soon as an opponent stepped up. Good riddance, Harry Williams.
UPDATE
18 arrested and counting. Sadly, this series of events isn't the largest 'gang rape' in town. In fact, not in the top four. This crowd of amateurs has only a single victim. Various acts of the school district and city council have hundreds, even several thousand victims. It boils down to a subtle difference. The difference between physical and financial rape. The school district has sent more kids, this year, to criminal prosecution than to graduation. There's several hundred victims, who could have been disciplined in a myriad of other ways. The city council has victimized the entire town, financially, over and over again. There's the electric utility monopoly, with a supplier- who charges double or triple the supplier, just ten miles to the west. (and these were supposedly, sharp business minds, on the council- only to be massaged by a smooth talking utility salesman!) Add the chamber's bills to the citizens, and the red light cameras. Yes, the PROFESSIONALS have far more victims!
