Dear Mr. Akins

Mr. Akins, I read this and thought about you. Some will say it is too dramatic for the current situation, but I believe every person facing the struggles of the times they live in deserves their just do. I have read how they attacked you as a Republican, Private Investigator from your arrival. I have read how you have been firm in your resolve to expose corruption here in Liberty County no matter how you are threatened by those trying to hold on to power. I have read how even though you are dragged up in court before these people that you continue to gather information that will eventually unravel the mess we have in our courthouse.

What I read that reminds me of you was part of the December 23, 1776 printing of “The Crisis” by Thomas Paine. Here it is:

“THESE are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.”

Our Founding Fathers were men hunted down by The Authorities because they dared to stand up and be counted. For all of their accusations and actions, they had a hangman’s noose awaiting them if they lost.. Two thirds of the colonists did not support their efforts, but we all enjoy the fruits of their victory. Some of those who should actually be doing something to help because they know corruption needs to be uprooted, even dare question your methods – like that is their contribution.

Like others have expressed, you have my prayers and my vote will be, of course, to free this country from Obama and this county from his base support.

I am almost as angry at thiose who repeat the good ole boy mudslinging false charges against you Ray, as I am the people who have rooted for years at the public trough trying to squeeze every ounce out of us taxpayers. I better not hear one more time about how they have charged you with this or that! If more people would speak up, nobody would have to go through what you are going through to sweep this stinking mess of thieves out of the courthouse.

It is not too dramatic. It is a ood letter that certainly speaks for the informed and the open minded. Akins people have written the truth and Akins has armed them with irrefutable facts.

Why do we demand that those who challenge authority do it so perfectly while we have such a low standard of defense for those in power to keep it? Liberty county needs to realize bad people smile and hug babies and good people sometimes don't take the time to try and look good because they don't feel the need.

Hight changed documents to deprive Sissy Warren's daughter of custody? Hight tried to commit suicide? Hight frees serious criminals just one day after giving them the ridiculously low sentence of probation? Hight claims to be a conservative!

Ray, you do have people in Liberty County standing up for you. If you go to trial for this ridiculous charge, I hope I am picked to set on the jury. Keep on keeping on, I am glad someone is bring these thieves and back stabbers out in the open. I personally am sick and tired of the Liberty County Courthouse Mafia and their actions.
