Dear LD,

I enjoyed your recent story regarding the actions of Constable Pct. 6 Royce Wheeler and his deputies in how they took $10,000 from two black men traveling through Liberty County. It just proved one more time how the Mike Little cartel can ruin the lives of innocent people who in this case their only crime was being black and traveling through Liberty County at night.

There was one ray of hope in this story and that was the action of 75th District Court Judge Mark Morefield when he stood up to the Little cartel and gave the Lawson brothers their money back. We all know that if Judge Rusty Hight would have still been Judge these men from Ohio would have never got their money back.

My family and I are proud to have voted for Judge Morefield .and we pray that he will continue his good work.

Proud Republican Voter

  5. Just saw ole Rusty on 13 eyewitness news...he's not looking to good now. I hope to Mike Little's picture on 13 eyewitness news. For now, I'll just sit and enjoy Joe Warren's mug-shot. LOL!

  6. I like the way judge Moorefield handled this. I also like the way County Judge Mcnair is running the Commissioners court. Both are doing a fine job of trying to get Liberty County back on track, thus keeping our County from being a laughing stock and a den of thieves. ( Repulican voter)

  7. The "prosecutor's" office will do everything they can to make sure NO prosecution takes place. When that kind of behavior becomes obvious it will be time for Mike Little to be dismissed from office.

  8. If you follow the money on some of the DA's projects, you find him hiring a special prosecutor here that later appears as an appointed defense lawyer there and it all lines up with Little's agenda and is paid for by the taxpayer. All of this kind of behavior makes me suspect as to whether Joe Warren is paying for his own defense or if his attorney is being paid off by us taxpayers through what on the surface appears to be unrelated appointments. Follow the money. Get Joe warren on record saying who is paying for his defense.

  10. I can't say I "enjoyed" the story about the civil rights violations, but I can say I will enjoy seeing justice.Wheeler and his goons should be ashamed.

  11. Wheeler and his goons will be gone next election. He can then enjoy his fishing trips without worrying about how much money he can seize to help support his habit.

  13. I like Morefield but Im starting to be concerned that he has allowed Akins and Shauberger and the court to be abused by Mike Little and his cronies.

  14. Hey Joe, you can always plead, temporary insanity even though you were already insane to pull a gun on somebody and not fire it. That is a good way to get youself shot. What if the other guy had pulled his gun. Then what?

  15. Judge Morefield stood up by doing his job; he followed the "law" without favoritism. Thank you Judge Morefield for doing the right thing in this case.
